Doctoral Symposium

The predoctoral symposium emerges as an initiative within the Spanish Society for Natural Language Processing (SEPLN). It is created with a double aim. On the one hand, predoctoral researchers in this field can expose their research, presenting new perspectives within natural language processing, with new computational techniques of learning and automatic language production, along with new applications and projects. On the other hand, it represents a space for the exchange of ideas and discussion of these investigations, in addition to giving experts in this area of knowledge the opportunity of mentoring.

This year has been convened within the 33rd International Conference of the Spanish Society for Natural Language Processing, held in Murcia, from 19 to 22 September. A total of 14 PhD students from different parts of Spain and Latin America presented their research. The PhD students had the opportunity to discuss their studies with a group of experts.

A volume has been published based on this symposium. It can be accessed in this link http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-1961/
